Jeremy Heiny is the pastor of Northview Church in Fletcher, NC. He was born and raised in Whiteland, IN and grew up being actively involved in the church. He pursued a lifelong goal of playing college football with hopes of playing in the NFL. However after receiving offers his senior year, he abandoned his previous dream to pursue what the Lord had before him, a call into the ministry.
Jeremy met his first wife Tracie while in college, and they were married in 1995. After graduating in 1997 with a BS degree in Pastoral Studies, he assumed a Youth Pastor position Lufkin, TX. Shortly into his term in Lufkin, Jeremy’s wife was diagnosed with cancer, and lost the battle within the year.
After the loss of his wife, Jeremy returned home to Indiana where he soon began receiving calls from all around the country to come share the testimony of what God had carried him though. It was during these travels that Jeremy met his current wife, Pauline at a church in Abilene TX. Pauline was from Ohio and visiting the same church that weekend to minister through music.
Jeremy eventually moved to Ohio, and the two were married on February 12th, 2000. Soon after their marriage Jeremy took a job as the singles pastor at West Hill Baptist church in Wooster, OH. Through God's prompting, Jeremy moved his family to WNC where he served in other church leadership roles before finding his home at Northview Church.
Jeremy and Pauline have three active boys Joshua, Caleb, and Micah. Jeremy loves spending time with his family, especially enjoying outdoor activities, and has an extreme addiction to Mountain Dew. All in all, Jeremy has a sincere love for people that is evident in all that he does. His heart has enough room to love his family wholly, love his church deeply, love on people sacrificially, and see the world with the eyes of Jesus.
We as a church are immensely blessed to call him OUR leader/shepherd/pastor, and even more blessed to call him our friend.
